What is Tallow?
Our beef tallow is a 100% natural product made from the fat around a cow's kidneys because it is has the most nutrients. Not the trim fat or lard that most cheaper tallow is made from. Our fat is dry rendered and purified into a rich, skin-nourishing lotion - just like our ancestors used, without any chemicals. Beef tallow closely matches our skin's natural oils, with a blend of 40% saturated, 42% monosaturated, and 4% polyunsaturated fats. It's also packed with vitamins A, D, E, and K, which help support healthy, glowing skin.

Naturally Simple
Inspirations By Design is a local Michigan tallow maker. We use suet sourced from organically raised, 100% grass-fed cattle that are rotated through nutrient-rich pastures and are never given antibiotics, hormones, or GMOs. We dry render the suet ourselves - without water or bleach - and triple-filter it to keep the skin-loving nutrients intact without adding toxins from bleach or salt like many others. Because we handle the entire process, we know exactly what goes in our tallow. While we may not match the prices of other online retailers, many of those products use water, bleach and lower-quality essential oils or tallow from mass-production facilities that often contain trim fat, lard and GMO grain-fed/feedlot cattle that had very little time as grass fed.

We began Inspirations By Design due to our family's severe sensitivity to chemicals found in so many of todays skincare products and food. Requests from family and friends grew for our handmade tallow lotion sourced from all natural antibiotic, hormone and GMO free organically grass fed and finished cows rotated between fields for the best possible nutrition. Friends and family have experienced healing from years of eczema, psoriasis and lupus skin conditions that chemical medications were not able to heal. Others have experienced healing of severe skin conditions that were disfiguring. We wanted to share that experience of tallow inspireDby God's design, the way our ancestors did. For some of us "progress" is not always better.
